April Homeschool Rollerskating Event

We will be having one more Homeschool Rollerskating Event in April. (It will probably be our last one for this school year unless our winter weather continues into May...) All homeschoolers are welcome to join us at UP Sportsplex on Monday, April 21 from 2-4 pm. UP Sportplex is located at 1110 Wright Street in Marquette. Cost is $4 per participant and includes skate rental. You are welcome to bring rollerblades from home if you prefer, but this does not affect the already reduced price. March Homeschool Rollerskating Event

The next Homeschool Rollerskating Day will be Monday, March 24 from 2-4 pm at the UP Sportsplex. (This time it should be just home schoolers as public school will be in session.) Cost is $4 per participant, and this includes roller skate rental. The UP Sportsplex is at 1110 Wright Street. All home schoolers are welcome! We've been having such a great turnout, that no RSVP is needed. Hope to see you there!

March Mom's-Only Meeting

Our next Mom's-only Meeting will be Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30. We'll be meeting at my house. If you need directions, please email me at marquettechums@yahoo.com. This is a relaxed time of visiting and encouraging each other in our homeschool journeys. For this meeting, we'll be doing a game/puzzle exchange. Bring a puzzle or game that you no longer use, and it may find a new home! Hope to see you there!

Luge opportunity for families and homeschoolers

The Upper Peninsula Luge Club is offering families a chance to try the luge on Friday nights. The cost is $10 for the whole family. If you like it and decide to get a club membership, the $10 will go toward the membership fee ($75). There is also a homeschool time for luge on Monday at 12 noon for members. Field Trips

We will be posting field trips and other upcoming events on this blog. An RSVP will be required to all events.

We do ask that if we have an event, field trip, or class, that you only bring your home school children. Others will not be allowed as a courtesy to those providing the event for us. Also, we would like to keep a high standard of conduct on our field trips and other events. Please make sure your comments and attitudes reflect a positive tone and demeanor. Please also make sure that your children are watched and controlled during activities. We want everyone to have the best experience possible.
