While these aren't local, (they are in the Grand Rapids area), we found them to be extremely helpful for parents who have struggling learners or children with learning disabilities. Both are Christians and very supportive of home schooling. Definitely worth the drive, in our opinion!
Home School Testing Plus
Linda's approach in finding a child's learning strengths (instead of focusing on the weaknesses and learning disability) was very refreshing and encouraging. She works with parents in learning how to educate their child in the way that he/she learns best. We have also gone through Linda for the Iowa Standardized Testing.
David R. MacRae, Psychologist
If you need an "official diagnosis" of your child's learning disability (many find it necessary for taking the ACT or SAT ), Dr. David is a supportive, Christian Psychologist in the Grand Rapids area.
