Isle Royale opportunity

Hi All,
I am passing on another chance for 12-13 year old homeschool students to have the chance to go to Isle Royale. This year we have a limited number of seats available (8) as the Homeschoolers are partnering with another school, all information is included in the following website. September 20-25, 2016 are the dates this year.  irephomeschooladventurers.weebly.com

Share Fair next week!

As you may have heard, the original Share Fair plans for this year were just cancelled. A few of us have decided to continue on and host a Share Fair at Calvary Baptist in Negaunee (on US 41). It will be on the same day, Friday, April 29 at 7 pm. We will have oral presentations, recitations, and musical performances upstairs at 7 and tables set up downstairs for projects to show afterward. Please come a few minutes early to set up if you need a table. Feel free to bring a snack to share downstairs.

Curriculum Fair

CURRICULUM FAIR NEWS:
I finally have all the information I need for some special things happening at the curriculum fair coming up June 10.

1) I have arranged for a representative from NMU to be available to answer questions regarding dual-enrollment for your high school student and what we, as parents, can do to prepare our students for college. I am arranging for him to do a presentation at 7pm.

2) Laura Shambaugh and Jacquie Nelson will have information on the newly formed Co-op...MACHE. You will have the opportunity to talk with them about their future plans and how you can get involved.

3) Bradley Moreau with Home Educational Resources will also be there. His company has developed curriculum-specific Science Kits for selected curricula, namely BJU Press and Abeka. He also has family and educational games such as K'Nex, Perplexus and Snap Circuits. For more information, visit his page at homeeducationalresources.com. (If you let me know before the event that you want a specific science kit, I can ask Bradley if he has it and can bring it with him.)

Of course, this is in addition to local homeschoolers bringing their used curriculum to sell. I find this is a great opportunity to meet other homeschoolers, find out what they like to use (and why!) and get your questions answered on many things related to homeschooling.

I hope to see you there! It is shaping up to be a great event! Don't miss it!!!

Oh and in case you were wondering, the curriculum fair is open to ALL homeschoolers or homeschool groups no matter where you live.....Marquette County, Delta County, Houghton County or any other county I may have forgotten.

Friday, June 10, 20166-9pm; Bethel Baptist Church, 829 Grove St., Marquette
